How'd SlingShot get those medals?
07/27/07

Bob! Come back with those. I don't want that guy to know I have them.
SlingShot with medals.

Recently our favorite reporter, Frank Kwestons, was lucky enough to track down SlingShot to get some more about his obscure and checkered past on the record. Here's the interview.

Frank Kwestons: Bob, it's a little known fact that you are in possession of two Empire Games medals. How'd you get them?

SlingShot: Well, the Bronze was from 1989, when the Empire Games were being held in Ithaca. The Silver from 1990 and Syracuse. In both of those years it was a very hotly contested competition, and a young and talented Humberto Cavalheiro prevailed bringing both of the medals home.

Yesterday, I was over at his house and saw them under a pile of Pampers. I said, "About those medals, Humberto, they ain't doin' you no good under them diapers. You may as well just give them to me."

And he did.

Frank Kwestons: Those medals represent a significant achievement for you. What is your current goal in cycling?

SlingShot: To sell them on E-bay.
